“Creativity is the heart's way of speaking without words—a reminder to love the process, not just the result"
Meet Tilley
Hello, I’m Tilley! Opening the studio was a bit of a U turn in my career. With a degree in Music, Theatre and Entertainment Management and a background in festivals and events, creativity and community have always been at the heart of what I do. Growing up amidst the magic of Glastonbury Festival, I was inspired by some of the best creatives in the world. My love for pottery runs deep—my mum, Jane Scott, MA (Hons), has been a ceramicist for over 20 years - so there has always been a pottery studio where we live that I would love spending time in. Jane’s current studio is studio 9 at Lancefield Studios.
Starting Pickwick Pottery Painting felt like a natural step, and I wanted the space to feel comfortable, cozy, and colourful. I’m mindful about the pottery items in the studio, focusing on timeless, functional homeware—things you’ll actually use, not leave gathering dust on a shelf. Some of the colours are handmade right here in the studio, as I love getting involved in the process. You’ll also find my mum’s beautiful handmade love hearts, ready for you to decorate.
And, of course, you’ll be greeted by Bertie, our friendly studio dog who’s always ready to bring a smile to your face.
The studio is located on the A4, on the Bath to Chippenham road. We have parking on site, WiFi and are dog friendly!
Whether you’re a seasoned artist or a curious beginner, I can’t wait to welcome you into this creative space and help you make something truly special.
